Craig began his career at the Mullett Center as a supervisor from 2002 to 2004, before returning full-time in October 2014. With over 30 years of experience in the ice arena industry, he has held positions at Eble Ice Arena, Nagawaukee Ice Arena, and the Kettle Moraine Ice Center in West Bend.
An active member of the U.S. Ice Rink Association, Craig has served on the editorial committee for RINK Magazine since 2012, contributing 20 nationally published articles (Links Below). He earned his "Certified Ice Technician" designation in 2003—one of only three rink operators in Wisconsin to do so in the program’s inaugural year—and achieved "Certified Ice Rink Manager" status in 2011. He was nationally recognized as the U.S. Ice Rink Association’s Ambassador in 2012.
In 2015, Craig was part of the ice installation crew for Skate America, hosted by U.S. Figure Skating at the UW Panther Arena. In 2018, he was selected to represent the Midwest at the NEISMA Rink Summit in Lake Placid, NY, by the Northeast Ice Skating Managers Association.
Craig is also a dedicated member of the Wisconsin Ice Arena Management Association (WIAMA), having served as President in 2010–11 and 2017–18. With two decades on WIAMA’s Board of Directors, he currently serves as Social Media Liaison and Co-Host of "Wake Up With WIAMA."
Craig launched the Mullett Center's Youth Floor Hockey Outreach Program, traveling to local schools to assist physical education teachers with their floor hockey units. He also serves as a lead instructor for the Mullett Ice Center's Learn to Skate program and is the founder of the Eisstock Club of Wisconsin. In addition, Craig directs the Arrowhead High School Intramural Hockey Program and has been the Commissioner of the Mullett Adult Hockey League (MHL) since the programs conception in 2014. In 2025 he launched the MHL D League where new or less experienced adults can come try hockey in a less competitive and relaxed atmosphere. Craig has also run the Arrowhead HS Girls Hockey team preseason on-ice sessions since 2020.
Beyond the rink, Craig is an active member of the Lake Country Rotary Club, where he serves as the liaison to the Arrowhead High School Interact Club and holds one of two Vocational Service Board positions. One of his additional roles as a Rotarian is to recruit and select high school students for the annual World Affairs Seminar. Craig has been a Rotarian since 2010.
Craig grew up playing youth hockey with Waukesha County Youth Hockey and went on to play high school hockey for Kettle Moraine High School where he was a captain for three years. He continued his playing career in the ACHA while attending the University of Wisconsin–Whitewater, where he earned a degree in Electronic Media and Graphic Design. After college, Craig worked as a graphic designer for ABC Television in Madison. Briefly coming out of retirement from competitive hockey, Craig had a short stint on the 4th line for the West Bend Bombers, a team in the Great Lakes Hockey League, before a shoulder injury ended his competitive career.
During his time working at the Kettle Moraine Ice Center in West Bend, he also served as a Program Director for the Boys and Girls Clubs of Washington County, leading summer programs for six years.
Craig and his wife, Jodi, live in Hartford and have two sons who both played hockey and lacrosse growing up. Their son Alex is now a Quality Control Inspector and Auditor at a manufacturing company, while Chris serves in the U.S. Navy and is currently stationed in San Diego with his wife, Joelle.
Fun fact: Craig holds a Class M & Class B Commercial Driver’s License.
