Jessica Schilling - Learn to Skate Instructor
Jessica accepted an Lead Instructor position with us in 2016. She lives in Hartland, Wisconsin with her family.
Jessica holds a Wisconsin teaching license and has 14 years experiencing teaching students of various ages and abilities. From 2004-2016 she worked with Milwaukee high school students in alternative approaches to their education and currently volunteers in Kettle Morraine Elementary Schools with the OASIS Project.
Jessica is a US Figure Skating gold medalist in Free Skating and Moves In The Field. She competed in regional competitions from 1982-2000, medaling in Preliminary through Senior levels as a representative of the Greater Milwaukee Figure Skating Club and the Wisconsin Figure Skating Club. Jessica co-founded the UW-Madison Figure Skating Club and skated on the University of Wisconsin Synchronized Skating Team from 1999-2000. She served as secretary on its governing board during the same time frame.
She has over 12 years coaching experience, working with students from ages four to adult who are learning basic edge work or more advanced figure skating elements. She has taught private and group lessons at the Pettit National Ice Center, Nagawaukee Ice Arena, Eble Ice Arena, and the Ponds of Brookfield. She is thrilled to be coaching again, now at the Mullett Center!
